COMING UP

Wednesday Evening Discipleship | Rooted in Tradition | 6:00PM

Over the course of this series, Mother Cynthia will weave together Scripture, history, theology, and worship—not as separate topics, but as a living whole. We’ll reflect on who we are as Episcopalians, why we worship the way we do, how The Book of Common Prayer forms us, and how the rhythms of the Church year shape a faithful life. Along the way, we’ll consider what it means to live as people who are deeply rooted, not rigid—grounded enough to grow, faithful enough to be sent.

This is a condensed, accessible exploration designed for long-time Episcopalians and those newer to the tradition alike. Whether you are seeking deeper understanding, renewed appreciation, or simply a stronger sense of where our faith comes from and where/how it is leading us, this series offers a place to dig in.

Standing in the Gap: Praying for Others Mini-Retreat

In the first book of the Bible, Moses placed himself between God and the people in intercession on their behalf. He was standing in the gap.

Come and explore how our ancestors-in-the-faith prayed and how you can intercede in prayer today.

Utilizing an interactive mode, this mini-retreat will explore several prayer approaches:  a prayer labyrinth walk, encouraging testimony and encountering the mystical, unexplained ways of God.

Standing in the Gap will be presented by parish member Ken Lewis as part of his thesis project toward his Doctor of Worship Studies degree.

Please join us from 5:30 to 8:30PM, Friday, January 30th and from 8:30AM to 12:30PM, Saturday, January 31, in the Parish Hall and for a follow-up after church from Noon to 2:00PM, on Sunday, February 1. Meals and snacks will be provided. Click here to sign up: Standing in the Gap
